An ornamented plate for Hanukkah decorated with several symbols: the Star of David, the Hanukkah Menorah, and beautifully detailed floral motifs. The rim of the plate is engraved with floral decorations and the traditional Hanukkah candle-lighting blessing (in Hebrew): "ברוך אתה ה' אלהנו מלך העלם אשר קדשנו במצותו וציונו להדליק נר של חנוכה" ("Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us to kindle the Hanukkah light").

The Star of David, though originating in ancient Eastern motifs, became clearly associated with Jewish identity in the 14th century, first documented in Prague. By the 17th century, it has spread widely across Central European Jewish communities, appearing in synagogues and ceremonial objects. In 1897, it was adopted at the First Zionist Congress as the emblem of the Zionist movement, chosen for its broad recognition and its ability to unify both secular and religious aspects of Jewish identity.
